Medication Change:
  • Skipped 3rd breathing treatment, she wasn't up enough in any period to get third one in.
  • Skipped 4 oz prune juice; she didn't want it and I didn't see a reason to fight her, since I figured she probably has been getting plenty of fiber over the last few days.
Dinner:  1/4 dark meat roast chicken; steamed broccoli with Greek Feta Vinaigrette; cherry pie for dessert with freshly whipped cream.
Miscellaneous note:  She seemed to feel significantly better today than over the past few days, so maybe we were dealing with "just" a cold that passed without complications.
Sleep:
  • Awake at 1415
  • Down for nap at 1930
  • Up from nap at 2200
  • Down for night at 0130
  • Awake 8.75 hours

Medication Changes:
  • 1,250 mg garlic (new daily med)
  • 325 mg acetaminophen at breakfast for unusual stiffness
  • 325 mg acetaminophen after nap, after dessert, for slight fever (relative to Mom's normal temp) and overall achiness
  • 4 oz prune juice
Bowel Movement:  Occurred immediately after nap. Fairly good volume; good consistency; easy elimination; easy clean-up.

BM Full Stat Day:

AM Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1404
    Reading:  159
AM Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1418
    BP:  139/80
    Pulse:  87
AM 60" Dig Temp:
    Time:  1419
    Reading:  97.6

PM Blood Glucose:
    Time:  2031
    Reading:  159

Medication Changes:
  • 325 mg acetaminophen at breakfast for overall stiffness and lower back ache
  • Skipped 3rd breathing treatment
  • 4 oz prune juice before bed
Bowel Movement:  This one was a little worrisome. Occurred when she arose from her nap. Good volume; easy elimination, fair consistency, which means the turds were quite large and solid; somewhat challenging clean-up; She expelled some fresh blood and clots with this movement, thus, even though it appeared to be easy elimination and she reported easy elimination, she's compacting in there. I've decided to give her 1/4 cup prune juice almost every day, now.
Dinner:  1/4 dark meat roast chicken with steamed broccoli with Greek Feta Vinaigrette, about 3/4 cup Uncle Ben's Original Recipe long grain and wild rice; for dessert, 1 slice Marie Callendar's cherry crunch pie with freshly whipped cream.
Sleep:
  • Awake at 1345
  • Down for nap at 1800
  • Up from nap at 2015
  • Down for night at 0045
  • Awake 8.75 hours
