Medication Change:  Gave her about 2.5 Tbl Phillip's Milk of Magnesia because I haven't been satisfied with her bowel movements over the last few days and she's retaining a little water. I'm thinking the Phillip's will clean her out and get the water flowing through her body, again.
Dinner:  Carl's Junior Jalapeno Burger with medium order of onion rings.
Breakfast Change:  Instead of toast with cinnamon, she had a slice of home made peach cobbler.

Medication Changes:
  • Gave her 325 mg acetaminophen before her nap; she was complaining of feeling like she was getting a cold, her energy level was low and she was feeling stiff.
  • Gave Mom another 325 mg acetaminophen tablet before retirement. She and I were discussing how she felt; she continued to indicate that she felt "coldish" and stiff, although her forehead felt cool. I offered the acetaminophen and she said, "I think that's a good idea."
  • Missed her 3rd breathing treatment; wasn't up long enough between treatments.
Dinner:  Left over pizza from last night and home made peach cobbler.

P.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  2140
    Reading:  132

Medication Changes:
  • 325 mg acetaminophen at breakfast; complaining of thigh pain just above the knee.
  • 650 mg acetaminophen with dinner for same complaint as earlier; while the dose above didn't seem to touch it, this dose did. She said, before going to bed, that she had no pain; she also looked better and moved much better.
Dinner:  Home made Mac n Cheese with all additions; pickled (without sugar) beets, about 3/4 cup; 1 slice Marie Callendar lemon meringue pie.
Bowel Movement:  Occurred while getting ready for bed. Good volume; hard, balled up consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
Bowel Movement Notes:  Although she hasn't had an official bowel movement since Saturday, both yesterday morning and this morning she awoke with a bit of fecal matter on her underwear and, during her bathing she expelled a small, soft turd without realizing it. I don't actually consider these "bowel movements" as such, but since this has happened twice I wanted to note it. Both times the expulsions were soft, left quite a bit of detritus throughout her eliminatory area, rendering that area messy and time consuming to clean.
