BM Full Stat Day:

A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1326
    Reading:  146
A.M. Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1323
    BP:  157/84
    Pulse:  82
A.M. 60" Dig Temp:
    Time:  1332
    Reading:  98.4

P.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  2122
    Reading:  135

    Medication Changes:
  • 500 mg acetaminophen at breakfast for lingering shoulder pain and stiffness
  • 500 mg acetaminophen at 1800 just before nap for same reason as above
  • 500 mg acetaminophen at dinner for same reason as above
  • 500 mg acetaminophen 1/2 hour before bed for same reason as above
Bowel Movement:  Occurred during bathing. Good volume; pretty hard, large consistency; very easy elimination; easy clean-up.
Dinner:  Home made cheeseburger on onion buns with thick slice of Bermuda onion and jalapeno Jack cheese; also, several pickled vegetables, left over from the "Champagne Kick-off Dinner"; no dessert, surprisingly, she didn't want any.
Miscellaneous Notes:
  • Wasn't sure about taking her BP because the arm that works best for the wrist cuff is the same that was injured, but decided to try it. It was obvious that Mom was uncomfortable having it taken and I think this partly what showed up in the reading, so I'm abandoning BP readings until I'm sure it isn't uncomfortable for her.
  • The other possibility that might be "lending a hand" to her elevated BP is that she is, again, experiencing more foot and lower leg swelling than usual (although on most people it would be considered minor); not as bad as some days ago when I gave her furosemide, but still a concern. I'll keep my eye on this.
  • Around 1800 Mom asked if "there is any chocolate in the house"...funny how her memory works! I gave her one of the Ghiradelli Mint Chocolate squares. I was going to give her one of all three flavors, but she only wanted the Mint and only wanted one.
  • Got a "battery low" signal from Mom's glucometer when I first attempted to take her BG upon awakening. This battery is less than half a year old. I'm noting this here because we're due to put in a supply order, soon, and I want to report this to our diabetic supplier.
Sleep:
  • Awoke at 1300
  • Down for nap at 1830
  • Awoke from nap at 2100
  • Down for night at 0130
  • Awake for 10 hours
